Here are some pictures of a recent application of Liquisol 4EverBlue solar control paint on some polycarbonate skylights in a warehouse. The client wanted to reduce the amount of heat and glare coming through the skylights and was looking for a simple, affordable and effective way to address skylight heat problems.

Liquisol is easy to apply and looks best when applied with an airless sprayer. Professionally applied or, if you have a crack maintenance crew or are a accomplished DIY’er Liquisol is the right choice for large polycarbonate, glass and acrylic skylights.

Here’s a look from the inside. As you can see, there is a noticeable reduction in glare while still letting in sufficient light. You can’t tell in the picture obviously, but the heat is reduced about 50%.

If you have a large commercial, warehouse or home skylight letting in too much light, heat or glare Liquisol may be the answer. Contact Liquisol today at 888-473-8046 or visit the Liquisol online store.

We have added links showing how best to apply your Liquisol paint using both a roller and an airless sprayer. For flat surfaces using a roller is fine and depending on weather conditions may be the preferred way to apply the paint.

For curved and uneven surfaces however Liquisol MUST be applied using an airless sprayer. Failure to do so will result in poor visual results.

NEVER APPLY LIQUISOL SOLAR PAINT USING A BRUSH.

Solar control solutions for dome skylights typically are limited to blinds, solar screens and skylight covers, as window film cannot be used on acrylic or plexiglass nor can it be applied on the curved surface of a dome skylight.

When it comes to dome skylights blinds, shades and covers can be an expensive option, as most home and business owners are looking for a simple, affordable and and effective way to solve the heat problem coming from their skylight. Liquisol sun control paint is the perfect solution for these situations because it can be easily applied and it will reduce the heat coming through your skylight.

The best part – Liquisol is permanent, effective and still let’s in the light.

Liquisol paint is an effective skylight heat blocker because it reflects away the heat while still allowing in the light. Unlike with skylight shades, skylight covers and solar screens, you can adjust and control the level of heat control and light on your skylight simply by varying how many coats of paint you apply.

Liquisol saves you money- when too much heat gets in through the skylight it has to be removed somehow. Sure, you can open a window, but most people nowadays use air conditioning so it costs money to remove that extra heat and to make your house comfortable. Liquisol can reduce more than 50% of the heat while still letting in the light.

Liquisol is versatile – It can be applied to acrylic, plexiglass and glass. Because it’s a paint there is no issue with curves, domes or angles.

Liquisol is effective – Liquisol blocks more than half the heat while letting in the light. Liquisol reduces the fading of furniture and fabrics by eliminating UV light.

Liquisol looks good – Liquisol skylight heat blocking paint has a muted reflectivity on the outside surface and won’t reflect sunlight into buildings or windows.

Liquisol improves the light in your home or building -Liquisol not only blocks and reduces the heat coming from your skylight, it softens and diffuses the light, reducing glare, eliminating eye strain and making it easier to see computer screens and televisions.

Liquisol is easy to apply – Liquisol can be applied with an airless paint sprayer or paint roller by either the Do-it-yourself’er or by a professional.

Liquisol is affordable – One liter is enough to apply two coats to over 100 Sq. Feet of skylights. On a per skylight or per square foot basis Liquisol is often less expensive than other skylight heat control options.
